After a few months debating whether or not to get one, I got one. S/he’s just a cutie...any idea how old?

I have 3 hatchlings about that size. In that picture she is probably about 4-5 months old.

The red dot was put on her shell by the breeder to identify her from the other babies.

oh wow that turtle is so adorable. are they hard to care for,messy. i have abearded dragon and he is fairly easy to take care of. i am so curious abouta turtle. i would really like to get one. yours is so cute.

OMG I want!!!! What a beauty. I (or my son) has a Russian Tortoise. What is the deal with "black". Is it just a different morph or something. Sorry if I sound ignorant, I have learned much since my son got Saphira (our RT) and still learning. She came to us very unhealthy, but we are doing our best to make her a healthy tort again.

Whit-E, its not a black russian, its just a darker russian.
Black russians have a more darker color all round.

Also, the red do identifies babies from other babies.

Id say that russian in Xandu’s photos, is round about 2-8 months old.
