ElliotsMom View Profile	Crushed oyster shell I was wondering if it is safe to sprinkle crushed oyster shell on my russian tortoises food as a source of calcium. I have cuttle bone in their enclosure, but I’m not sure if they are eating it. I have the crushed oyster shell for my bird and hermit crabs already so I thought maybe that would work?
