Ok well I am a long time repticzoner first maybe second time turtle poster. I have had my turtles for quite a while I know all of the care instructions and everything else. I have been researching all kinds of turtle stuff for years now. But I have never had the sense to research breeding. Now don’t run off and say you don’t know about breeding... Because it might not be what I think it is...

Ok well I have Stewie and Olivia, Olivia is still to young to tell if she is for sure a she but Stewie is a definate male. Olivia is about 3 maybe 4 inches and Stewie is 5 maybe six. Well just recently there are a pile of rocks (from their land portion) in the middle of the water! All piled up in a circle. only 7-8 little pebbles (not too small... a little over an inch in diameter) I don’t know how they got them there. They could have kicked them but there is a small bit of wall deviding the water and land so thats not really the likely answer. Could they have carried them? Why for What? Why do they want rocks there? Is it a mating thing? They look to big for Olivia to fit in her mouth I didn’t think Stewie would have been able to either... What do you think? They are all piled together. I thought Olivia was still too young to even think about mating... is it a practice nest? Whats going on? Thanks for any advice... sorry I went on yappin (typing) so much.

Forgot to add that they are both RES turtles.... got them at the same time. Never a sign of fighting however I do catch them nail shaking every once in a while but never a nip or bite or scratch or a single mean look in them..... They got plenty of space.... ummm I think thats it...
