 Hibernating???

Hello people.

I have 4-5 year old yellow bellied terrapin (called that in England, dunno about other places). And it isn’t moving much lately, just stays on his rock with his eye’s close. If I put him back into his water, his eyes open and he stays in for about 5 mins then decides to go back on his rock.

Is he hibernating? Or should I take him to a vet?

thanks

-John-

Sorry John I do not know anything about Yellow Bellied Terrapins. This is the wrong forum for this post. You are in the Adoption, you need to go to the Land/Aquatic. Re-post it and hopefully someone can point you in the right direction. Erica

Wrong forum but i read they SHOULD NOT HIBERNATE indoors. My RES was I trying to I think and died. Turn up the water heat or something. I wouldnt want any body else to lose one of their turtles because I didnt post this. Good luck if you havent fixed the problem already.
