 What type of turtle do i own?

I have a turtle i found at a creek and dont know what kind it is. There is yellow and black on its head its shell has a point in the center. I think its a red painter but not sure it is still a baby and can fit in my palm. i would put pictures on but dont know how.


Please help me figure this out!
