 Three toed box turtle

When you guys feed you box turtles bug do you put them in and let them roam around? The reason I sak is because I have bark chips and I want to feed them cricks.

Should not be using bark chips, its really bad for them, and it is dust and not really good. Use soil, and yes you let them roam.

You can let them roam. But please provide other food also. Box turtles love earthworms, cantaloupe, tomatos, and even canned dog food. A variety of food will make him healthier.
