 Need help please!?
I usually stay on the venomous site, but I have some Eastern,Ornate box Turtles, I will post a pick in a few, my question is when you are sendnd your turtles to someone, how do you do so, are they protected in some states? if anyone has the answer please PM me for I do not frequent this site much.

Yes easterns are protected in most eastern states, you would send them just like any other reptile. Do you plan to sale your girl? Did you find someone? If not i would be intrested i have a lone male eastern,

Actually, I have found someone who wants some, and we have already made a deal, I can probally get you a Female, just tell me what you’d pay? The Person I am dealing with now wants to buy in bulk, so we worked out a deal, but for just one? ! we would have to see....PM me for more details...

Wholy crap!!!! anyways, I just heard a rummor that the shipping companies will not ship reptiles,unless they are vet checked with documents, they have a document of origin or a dealers licence to sell, insurance on them, I will find out if this is true, and if it si I can not sell, if It is not I will sell for $45.00 and Shipping is $50.00 DHL I will let you know what I find out, and the rummor is this will be a nation wide thing now

The pet store owner I go to says it is in Ohio, West Virginia...he says the ODNR came in and told him just what I have posted so he called all the Shippers and they said the same thing, I am going to call the shippers and see what they tell me

Also just found out that the Box turtles are protected in all Eastern States, so I had to let all them go,It looked like a big turtle marathon/convention all over the field I chose to put them in....Sorry, but I don’t want to do anything Illegal.........So now they are free!!!!!!!!!!!to roam nature.

NOPE, I never sent any or sold any, when I checked with the DNR they said if I had kids under the age of 14 they could have 1 each, I have 4 kids....But as far as me collecting them they said NO, and they do not have a permit for me so I can collect and sell, so I told him Wholly Crap!!!! and came home and let them free, my local DNR kinda knows me since I went to school with his kids...So he was cool with it, and didn’t charge me with anything, since all I really did was feed a few turtles and give them some turtle medicine to help there shell and there eyes from infection, so he looked at it like it was a turtle check up and just laughed about it.

Cool, I am thinking of going to pet store and getting some type of Tort... All I have is a Red Eared Slider that was a rescue, it has no front legs, wouldn’t survive in the wild, could not get out on land, but does great in my tanks and devores crayfish like nothing!!!!
