I need all the help i can get!

Ok This is strange to you maybe but i want to have an aquarium with 4 or 6 turtles equal boys to girls.

Okay here come the questions.

1. How big a tank am i looking for if they are 4-2 african map turtles and 2 look just like the map turtles but with a yellower shell unlike the maps grey.(they get to 4 inchs).

2 How do you get them to breed and what do they need. do they need a different tank if they lay eggs and are furtilised should i move them into a new tank before they hatch do they need to be in a much higher temperature water than the adults.

3. how quick do they grow and how quick do they grow so that they can live in the bigger tanks. (with the bigger guys)

4. how can you tell male from female turtles

5 how much rockary do they need.

6 what should i feed them.

7 what heat temparature (celcius please although farenhigt could help as well).

8. do they need any thing else.

well first you will need a tank that has 10 inches of water to ever inch of turtle that you will have.
You will need to move into a different tank for the hatchlings. The temp is about the same. I do believe
Every turtle grows at its own pace,
Males have longer tails and nails then of a female.
No little gravel, because turtles can eat it and get impacted so use large rocks, such as river rock ect. NO LITTLE GRAVIL that will fit in the mouth.
They will eat earthworms, crickets, mealworms, grasshoppers, and turtle food from pet store, and there is a list of foods they can eat.
water should be 70 to 75 f celcius I don’t know. 80 to 90 f in the basking spot. You need to make sure that there is enough basking space, and you have uva and uvb lighting for them. And when feeding use a calcium dust, or cuttlebone.
Turtles also like to have plants around so they can nibble on them. Feeder fish so they can chase around, and have a snack when they want.
If you have never taken care of a turtle They are a lot of work, you have to have a big filter to keep the water clean and still you will have to clean the tank a lot. Ummm for right now that is all I can think of so do more research on them before you get that many turtles. Make sure you know and can care for them before you get them. Hope this helps a little

If they are YBS here is a good care sheet for them. If you aren’t sure that is what they are then you can go to the World Chelonian Trust web site gallery and see if you can find them. You also can find care sheets there.
