JUST GOT A SNAKENECK! 
just got my first turtle, a new guinea snakeneck turtle. he’s really cool and i was wondering if anyone else had a snakeneck? i’m doing more research, but im friends with the guy who sold him to me so i got all the basics on care down. i’ll have pics soon.

def a blue tongue. monkey tails and blue tongues are both great, but monkeys have very strict environmental needs and almost all are wild caught. monkey tails are extremely strong. i think its pretty easy handling my blue tongues, they can be a little squirmy at times but still very easy to control. monkey tails however, will grab you FIRMLY and CLAW there way up your arm. there claws need to be kept sharp to climb on branches, and they can be very hard to get loose of your clothing. you said "pet wise" also, i think blue tongues have a better understanding of their owner because they know you take care of them. my blue tongues will always make eye contact, and follow me, walking inside their cage from one end to the other when they think iits feeding time. monkey tails have extremely unusual behaviors, wich make them so interesting. there both wonderful animals, but i think a blue tongue is a little easier to keep.
