i just got our turtles yesterday and iam having a lot of issuses b/c i live in japan (USAF) so i can’t really under stand the pet store lady so really don’t know everything i need to have. I have the
tank,filter,and the stuff for the water oh and of couse the food. the thing iam most worried about are the light i have no idea what to get and do i need the vitamin D3 stuff for the water too or do i need some thing differnt please help!!!

Here is a link online to get a uvb bulb and fixture that is really what you need. I don’t know if they ship internationally or not. If not let me know and I’ll try to find a place for you that does. Also on the food there is lots of stuff that they do eat. They like veg. like lettuce. Worms, crickets, feeder fish if he can catch them. WE have mosiquito fish in ours tank and he tries to catch them but not quick enough yet.But i willpm you my email address and you can get in touch with me there better. Also you need a plain basking light(household buld will do) hang it using a clamp lamp. and here is a link for the clamp.

Thank you very much that helped alot. i just got a water heater for the tank should that been left on all the time or just when the tank get to around 80 should i turn it off

Just keep it on its easier that way. Also it should be around 78 with a basking temp of 85 or so.
