Red ear sliders  ok i just rescued 2 red ear sliders one has a long tail and has a 5 inch across shell and the outher has a short tail and is 4 1/2 inches across the shell.and i am going to start feeding them tomarrow. on the sides of the shell is it like pealing is that good? they seam like they are pissed at me too i have them in a 20 gallen reptile tank 4 now i that ok? or should i use my big tank wouch is like a 90 gallen? and can some one please post a pic of a red ear slider so i can make sure that is what it is? Thank u 4 all the help Neil

Red ear sliders  Hey, I would go with the 90 if I were you ... it is going to be necessary eventually anyway!Looks like you have a male (long-tail) and a female ... does the long-tail one also have longer nails?

Red ear sliders  And the shell of the male is starting to chip and i have a very love uv light on them. i have the basking them at 76.8 i will get it higher i will try i should say i never had a trutle so i will be askinbg questions on them Ps. sorry if i will sound like a bug.

This is my red eared slider. You will need to get a higher basking temp more like 90F water about 70F to 75F. You can ask what you want that is what people are here for, you don’t sound like a bug, lol ;) Ask away!!
