NEW Turtles...want to show off ... need to know how to post pics.
8 texas river cooters 1 hiegrogliphic river cooter 1 cooter 1 rio grand spotted red ear 1 very dark (almost blackish skin) with yellow and lime outlining every thing, rio grand red ear 1 normal rio grand 3 red ears 1 eastern painted 1 western painted 1 southern painted 1 red belly (BUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 1 baby musk and on tuesday I am probably getting some baby spiny and smooth softshells from amphibiandude these are my new babies I NEED to show off!!! how do I post pics? Ive been on here for a year and still dont know how to thankyou |

i just use photobucket for everything. its the easiest and works with most sites for posting in forums and what not. Link |

and I also breed to release the babies into the wild (immediatly) doing that with painted turtles .. with the help of some other people, we now have a large and growing colony of western and southern painted turtles in mid texas. (hill country area) I and amphibiandude have even seen some western/southern painted hybrids. these are my first babies of the of the season ... and am getting ready to breed more adults. |

I am not a child and I breed and sell animals. and work in yards. I am not exactly like in my 30’s or 40’s breeding and selling as a pro But I have VERY succesfull turtle breeding in the summer and TONS of baby spinys in the spring and summer, also hatch and breed anoles whenever I feel like it. Also breed constontly gulf coast toads and leopard frogs, bullfrogs, and mexican tree fogs I am working with my courting dart frogs ... Have bred and sold Checkered, Blackneck garders snakes since age 7 Started breeding turtles at age ten..and since then have been working on inhabiting the texas hill country with southern and western painted turtles ....and actually today found a couple in the wild..now they are breeding by themselves and starting a large colony. I use to breed geckos, I also have chickens which I sell their eggs for mney to take care of my animals. I am working with slimy and tiger salamanders right now. Just got some green tree frog I have kept leopard, sulcata, and red foot tortoises. Just yesterday hatched some sagebrush lizards. Have two cornsnakes right now. Have been working with aquatic salamanders and newts recently. Just released today some of my baby water snakes. Also work wiith whiptail lizards. Have raised hybrid bullfrog/leopard frog tadpoles. Have bred different kinds of cooters, red ear sliders, rio grand sliders, and painted turtles.(have kept but never bred map turtles.) Have sold fire belly toads. I have had other reptiles but these are the main ones. |

Hey Reptilefreak23 i wasnt judging anyone. I dont see how in the world you got that idea. All I am saying is that you have a lot of experience and responsibility for someone your age. I’m very impressed! I would be interested to see the facilities in which you perform all of your extensive work! To house and provide the correct husbandry I imagine you have an entire wing of your house dedicated to your projects. I was only commenting that I imagine your parents are very supportive of your intrests if not financially. Please post pics of your animals/facilities. I cant imagine all this research etc.. is conducted in your bedroom. You also mentioned that you have introduced painted turtles to the local fauna. Were these a declining native species? I hope they were not introduced to an area where they were not native. You should try to get some college credit for your work or at least apply for some grants. Do you live near a major zoo? Maybe you could work in the herp Dept. as a volunteer? Until you are old enough for them to hire you and offer you tuition reimbursement for you herpetology degree. Good Luck Mike D. |

Yeah ill post pics of my set ups. And I live in the hill country outside sanantonio so Sanantonio zoo is and option. But yeah, we used to have southern painted turtles but people caught and sold their shells and stuff. so I thought Id help out. Good luck finding a home for your res. |

And I dont think im old enough to work at a zoo though., but I don help out at our local petshop BEST PETSHOP IN THE WORLD, takes GREAT care of his animals and really has a disire and a passion for them.UNlike some petstores which just are there for money. sry for the double post... |
