Is the care of hatchling red ear sliders different from the adult care? If so could you post it. Thanks!!!

 Hatchling care

small babies need to eat daily and adults do not.

some people feed them hatchling turtle sticks (they are smaller) but mine do well on adult food. pretty much the same care.

Reptomin is the best, but also it’s more expensive than others.

 Hatchling care

The care like stated already is the same for an adult except for feeding daily. I kept my hatchlings in deep water....more then a foot deep even with 1 inch long shell they are born to swim and no issue. I also use mazuri water turtle pellets...they are made by purina and have less protien and more vitamins in them.

Watch those floating basking area’s though...the ones with the suction cups. I have seen mine and heard about others turtles getting stuck and dieing. Remove the bottom suction things and they can’t get stuck.

Also when you get a hatchling turtle try to hold some so it will get used to you. Adults will more likely not like being held if it hasn’t before.
