 Baby Razorback Musk Turtle

I just got a new baby razorback musk turtle and the little guy is awesome! I know someone just posted a thread about how to sex them, but does anyone out there have photos of a male and female for comparison because without two tails i cant really tell what is, "long." How many of you guys have this kind of turtle and would you post pics of their tanks? id like some ideas because im not sure what i want it to look like exactly.

congrats on the new turtles. they are awesome turtles.

if yours is a small baby youre not going to be able to tell the sex for a while. think they gotta be a few inches.

good luck with your new turtle

I did a lot of that but i never found any good comparison pics. I saw female and male pics but nothing that showed the tail in detail so ill just have to wait and see i guess.

I know what you mean... I’m wanting to say one of my red ear sliders is a male and the other is a female but I could be totally wrong because neither are bigger than 2inches.

i bet at that age they are real tough to tell, but i assume males would still have a bit longer of a tail.

They both have same lenght tails , but the one I think is a male his cloca is farther away from the shell than the one I think is a female is.

Thats why i thought my baby could be a male, because its cloca is pretty far down its tail, and although its tail cant be considered long, i have seen clips on youtube of female baby razorback musks and their tails look even smaller, but again im just taking a guess here.
