i use turtlebites the most, then monster diet, reptomin that’s in the middle, flukers,wardley, and then reptomin on the end.

btw reptilefreak23 for the vitamin A drops, instead i am using the monster diet and turtlebites for the one pyramiding turtle. i looked on the ingredients and they have vitamin A in it. we couldn’t find any vitamin A water drops inside the store(petsmart).is this alright? or should my dad also get vitamin A from his work, on Monday?

I use Repto Min all the time. That is rates one of the be turtle food supplements, so that is why. I use Wardley, and Flukers also when I run out of Repto Min.

gottee guy...its not if it has VITAMIN A in it every food usually has that... you need the eye drops, (aka water drops)
you might want to go back to where I listed all the things you need for that turtle

I don’t use any of those for my water turtles....I use mazuri. By far the best turtle food out there. Less protien then any of the others.


Vitamin A will do nothing about pyramiding. Pyramiding comes from 3 things...too much protien, wrong temps and lack of enough uv lighting. Besides I would never give drops to a turtle unless recomended by a vet. When I got a rescue with vitamin A issues I improved the diet...high vitamin A is found in yellow, or orange veggies, and also in beef liver. Water turtles and box/wood turtles will eat all those things and should be as part of a balanced diet.

yeah, my dad got the vitamin A fluid from his work today.i just have to wait until he gets home so i can put it in the tank.he said there wasn’t a label so how much do i put in the 70 gallon, i’m guessing a few teaspoons?

carrots and some potatoes are high in vitamin A.what about any fruit?

so i just get the right temps,lots of UVB,low protein diet, regular calcium and calcium d3 supplement the water, and gutloaded feeder insects, for pyraiding.

do you really think the turtle has a bacterial infection or is just prone to one?

well if you recall the other post...you said it might have shell rot.
this is what you would do..
but I would do most of it right now to prevent those infections, and to get him healthier all together.

Is it better to feed different food every day because first i used wardley then i changed to reptomin and i feed them reptomin every day. Is it better to feed reptomin thane wardley the next day then reptomin again?

it would be a more varied diet, although you need a varied diet with turtles anyways and fruits and veggies help.

Thanks i put Romaine lettuce, come clover, and sometimes strawberries and I think Flash has taken one small bite of romaine and that’s it. I put some grasshoppers sometimes if I can find some outside, don’t worry we don’t use pesticides and nobody around us does, and they eat them up so they’re still carnivorous.

Lately they haven’t had any grasshoppers, so they’ve only really eaten some sticks because they don’t care for thay fruits and veggies. For some reason there hasn’t been any outside lately except for the bright green ones wich for some reason they don’t like.
