New Mississippi Map turtles! 
Hello everyone. Well I went to the Hamburg, PA show today and my hubby and I got a beardie and 2 Mississippi Map turtles and my brother and his wife got a beardie and a ball python. Here’s the Mississippi Map turtles in their temporary home until they get a little bigger:
Aren’t they just the cutest! They are SO active.

Thank you! Yes they have names-forgot to put that in original post. Their names are Gator Boy and Salmanelly-don’t ask-my hubby named them and he likes to think of interesting names! They have quite the personalities too. They are still a little skittish but they love to watch everything. I’ll post updated pics as they grow. I have only ever had res and when I saw these there I HAD to have them plus they were only $6 a piece! Crazy! Nice thing is that maps get at the biggest about 8 inches so the is great!

Thank you Linda. They are SO much fun to watch. I really can’t believe how much personality they have! The one likes to sit on the back of the other one and just relax-quite funny to watch them stalk the fish. I’ll post more pics soon.

I love watching our little snapper stalk fish. And how frustrated he gets when the quicker ones swim away. Then he looks up at me like "What gives? Can’t you find me some slower ones?"

Sorry-I didn’t post a pic of the entire tank-only the far right corner. They have 2 basking area, a heat lamp, a uv light, etc. I will have to take a pic of the entire tank and post it once my battery charges up-I have a bad habit of letting my camera, cell phone, blue tooth, etc, anything that has a battery die! Trust me these are not the first turtles I have owned. They are in a temporary tank now until we get their permanent tank finished-they are so small right now so this is great for them!

i love map turtles because they never beg like RES do. it can get really annoying when RES beg because they follow you whichever side of the tank you are on and try to eat everything,never letting the other turtles ever eat anything.most of the small fake plants i have in there are all chewed up.
