Feeding red ear slider babies
I have two baby red ear sliders. I want to know what i can feed them. I’ve been feeding them these turtle bite things that the place i got them from gave me, and dead krill and every once and awhile two meal worms. I want to know what else i can feed them. Like what types of worms and where i can get them and what other live things. They seem to really like live food. I also give them feeder fish. They really respond to live food. So what else can i give them that is live.

Feeding red ear slider babies Baby Red-Eared Sliders are mainly carnivorous-- that’s why they respond to live food. You CAN TRY to introduce plant matter (mine takes to Romaine lettuce quite well) but, it should mainly be a pellet/ meat diet while they’re young.
My favorite site for info is below.

Feeding red ear slider babies With babies, I really wouldn’t use any so-called ’treats." You can give a waxworm or two to a bigger one and it’ll still have room for pellets and vegies, but a baby will eat one and already be too full of junk food to want anything else. The truth is there really aren’t any insects available in pet shops that are as good for them as a good-quality turtle food. Just look a the nutritional labels on whatever’s on the shelf and try whichever brands they have that look best, then see which ones are a hit. Keep some live anachris in the tank and they’ll probably take a bite now and then, and if you can get them to eat collard greens, dandelion leaves, Romaine lettuce, or little thin strips of raw yam or zuchini, great. if they’re eating vegies, you can keep a few small guppies in there for them to catch whenever, but if they’re being finicky only offer fish like once a week and keep trying other things the rest of the time. Turtles can get really, really spoiled on fish, which in species that are supposed to be omnivorous can be a problem.
