 Quick Question

Ive never heard of feeding them flys. Mine it all kinds of worms, crickets and roaches as well as fish, shrip and crawfish.

Also adults need 75% vegitation so duckweed, kale and under dark green veggies are good

 Quick Question

On one hand, flies are a good nutritious feeder insect, but on the other hand they carry a LOT of diseases, which can fester and intensify if your water quality is not excellant. So unless it’s a large, well-filtered tank, you might want to play it safe.
Mealworms are kind of the opposite. They tend to be clean, but nutritionally they’re pretty crappy.
