 Need help with EGGS!!

Hey all. My RES laid eggs last July 4th. Now, the dirt she laid in is VERY, VERY hard, and I am concerned about the babies not being able to dig out of it. Is there a way to incubate them myself? Or let nature do it’s way (although mother nature is a witch) Any sug would be great. Thanks

heres something i copied from another one of my recent posts.

Quote:

you know how to incubate the eggs right? in a half inch of vermiculite at 83 degrees. but first of course you have to make the vermiculite damp enough to make a ball but easy to break.

humidity should be around 80,temp.83 exactly. incubate them in vermiculite.

if you pick them up,and incubate them yourself,DO NOT turn the eggs any other way-just the way they were layed. this could kill the embryo.

a great way to make sure you dont turn the eggs is to mark the top with a crayon or something that writes softly, btw

Also I read somewhere if you keep the temp at a certain point it will be a male or a female. Maybe if you google it.
