Hey i was wondering if its okay to let turtles roam in your house? I have a red earred slider and a red earred slider/yellow belly slider hybrid. Thanks!

As long as they can’t crawl anywhere where you can’t get them, get killed, or get stuck...it’s fine.

i wouldn’t do it. you never know whats in or on your carpet that’s could harm it. or even if you have tile. cleaning products can be harmful. to me they are best kept in their own environment.

My filter system is good enough that i don’t do huge water changes any more, but when I did Iused to let him run around. Once the weather changes and I can’t take him outside any more I’ll probably let him floor-roam again sometimes. Just make sure that if there’s anyplace yo don’t want him going, he can’t. If a room is too cluttered, shut the door. if there’s stairs, take him downstairs so he can’t run ontot hem, and fall. Also, during the winter, watch out for him wandering into drafty corners. They can get cold very, very quickly.
