 Hello

Hi I am new to this forum and wanted to share a couple pics. Here are my two Three-Toed Box turtles - Wilma and Fred :) I have had Fred for about 19 yrs and Wilma was just given to me over July 4th weekend. They have a nice big 6x3 ft indoor area and I am currently building the outdoor one. I also have two baby Sulcata torts, a Russian tort and two Leopard gekos :)

 Hello

LOL! Fred has the cutest expression on his face. It’s like "Huh?" It’s almost cartoon-ish. They are both cuties. :)

 Hello

Here’s a few pic’s of their indoor enclosure. It is a work in progress :) Living in AZ provides plenty of heat and sun so they do spend a bit of time outside as well but I don’t have the outdoor pen built yet. They just run around the backyard, when its not too hot..lol. Ok first pic is the initial set up under construction and then the rest are what it is right now. I know it still needs some work so let me know what you all think :)

 Hello

Oh and I moved the lights out of the way to take the pics lol. I just added more rocks with a couple nice flat ones for the feeding area, as well as another hide :)

Hello - turtles n encl. heavy pics

LOL yes I have my Russian in with my boxies until the temps cool down a tad here. I’m in AZ and its really hot right now (115 lately)! I didn’t get a chance to get the Russian accustom to the heat so I am waiting, she goes outside in the mornings though. They all get along just fine and I am home with them all day so I watch them closely. I just make sure the Russian doesn’t get fed anything she isn’t suppose to have :) For the enclosure I have organic potting soil mixed with play sand and under the hide on the dirt side, it has some peat moss mixed in as well. There are three other hides now on the rock/tile side.

Hello - turtles n encl. heavy pics

Yes its on the floor. I know...big no no, lol. But here in AZ I don’t have to worry about drafts its very warm all the time in my house - even on the floor :) Eventually I would like to add legs to it, but it is pretty heavy with all that dirt and those rocks...

Hello - turtles n encl. heavy pics

Ya it is different lol, no offense taken. I just keep hearing how bad it is to have your tanks on the floor... I would like to put legs on it eventually :) I’m not sure what to line the inside with to keep the wood from getting ruined, any suggestions?
