Tank- 20’’x10’’x12’ That will last for 3-4 months maybe. Thats only if you can find a hatchling. Try a red ear slider or painted.

Tank- 20’’x10’’x12’ The ten gallon isn’t really relevant to the decision. Whether you want to use it to start a hatchling or not is no big deal. What matters is what size tank you’re ready to get right after that. I mean, if you’re just checking to see if there’s a type that woud be fine staying in it, then the answer is no, but no harm no foul for asking. But just don’t fall into the old "I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it" trap. If you’re fine with doing an upgrade pretty soon (although that of course means the ten gallon tank will we waiting to scam you into again buying something that will require yet another bigger tank) then figure out what your reasonable limits are, be they length, weight, or cost, or whatever, and the brainstorm here might be more useful. There is no species that should be kept in a cage under three feet long as adults (and adulthood is most of their life) but there are a fair number that you can at least count on being okay with a tank somewhere in that 3-4 fot range, even if they grow up to be big for their species.

Tank- 20’’x10’’x12’ yea i have a red tale boa hatchling in a 3ft by 1 ft by 1.5 ft aquariam which i will be changing to a bigger one soon. which means i will have an extra tank so i do have room for him.. do you ever hold your turtles or is it just one of the pets that you just watch? also would it be ok if i put little fish in the tank too?

Tank- 20’’x10’’x12’ Musk, southern painted, or Texas map are probably your best bets.

Tank- 20’’x10’’x12’ You don’t really hold turtles, they are just for looking at mostly. Rule of thumb is 10 gal’s of acutal water per inch of shell length for one turtle. You will need a filter that is for 2 times the size of the tank, more if you add another turtle or fish. Most turtles will eat small fish, but there are some that live with fish just fine. I’d do some research on different water turles and see what fits you and your tank size. Depending on the turtle you will need heat and uvb/uva lights, water heater and a basking platform or some kind of dirt area where they can climb on to.
