 My soft shell turtle

sounds like ur turtle is simply over weight. cut down the feeding. what areu feeding him> ? try live fish cos they have to exercise to chase them!

my main concern is that you have 3 softshell turtles living together - they are still only young but as they grow they will become Very agressive. YOU WILL NEED TO SEPERATE THEM ALL EVENTUALLY. they are also very delicate and if they scratch or bite eachothers shells they can get a fungal or bacterial infection = possible death. so be careful.

the res, are they housed with the softshells or seperate?

HOW BIG ARE THE TANK(S)? - - - softshells and res get big, 12". so i hope u have room for them, and the money to keep them. it worries me that u cant afford a vet.

i trust u have all the correct equipment, heat lamps, UVB LIGHTING, filters, heater (with a guard on to stop burns) right?

sorry to come off rude, just wanna help and it sounds like ur a bit new to this.
