Mean red eared slider 
i have a red eared slider named emmy and he’s got a problem he is mean.like evil mean he will bite anything even his own mate "jade".i know most male turtles are naturally more aggressive but this is two much.could u please tell me wat the problem is or how i can disipline him so he doesnt act so mean please tell me

You may have to separate them, because Res can be very aggressive. I don’t think there is any way to discipline a turtle so separation would probably be the best way to go. So no one gets hurt.

I agree with TeriS4. Turtles aren’t like domestic pets -- they don’t understand discipline. You will have to get them seperate enclosures or a larger enclosure. Otherwise he may very well kill Jade.

well u see now he’s no longer aggresive to jade.now hes just aggresive to humans.and any way emmy wouldnt kill jade trust me they are mating right now lol but is THAT normal to be aggresive to me and others?

Did you discipline him? If you did maybe he don’t like you anymore. But they can want to bite even if you didn’t discipline, maybe they are just hungry, lol

you could always try dicipline although i dont no how theres the obvious hammer although life is not garantyed (i wouldnt try it).Pink paint on his shell to make the others point and laugh and separation although thats justcats although i dont paint my cats although i have chucked them out the house although when i say chuck i mean kick and when i mean kick i mean boot him out the front door i mean argh what i really mean to say is that oscar our only male (spade) just hates every other cat although he is 5 years older than the rest going on 10 in july 05 so hes getting old but i just put him out the front and has to walk round to the front about a mile walk through the old woos of england and then he comes back head down sulking but not biting
