Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? I would try some fancier and higher end supermarkets. They’re using dandillion greens for salad so you should be able to find it somewhere. Specialty boutique and maybe call some French restaurant and ask the chef? The backyard is a great place to harvest as long as you know it hasn’t been sprayed in the past 2 to 3 years.

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? Try stores connected with MeijerAccording to the brand I used to use, they supply to most of these stores (or can) all over the US. If the store did not carry a specific item I was looking for, they suggested that I speak with the produce manager and request it. I did this in the grocery store nearest me and I no longer need to drive 20 minutes to another store to get fresh dandelions. This new store now carries another brand (with no identification tags) and I cannot remember the exact name of the other brand. Think it was something like ’little bear’?

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? are they in the produce section with the rest of the greens? I live in an apartment so i dont really have a good source for them, all of the grounds around my office and the apartment are sprayed weekly with weed killer /insecticide. I’ve so far been to bi-lo, ingles, wal-mart, and winn-dixie.

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? WaveRunner, I have been unable to procure a ready supply of dandelions(other than my yard) for well over two years. They just don’t seem to want to sell yard weeds at the supermarkets here in TN. However, I done a little study of items, and have been utilizing arugula for well over a year. Its make up is quite close to that of dandelions, has an almost identical Ca:P ratio to a dandelion and I stop at Krogers ever week and shell out close to ten bucks for three boxes. I offer this as an alternative as I understand your frustration in trying to procure dandelions. This spring my wife and I gathered quite an amount of dandelion seeds and hopefully will be able to cultivate this weed along with other food items for our Uros. I hope this helps you in your diet selection.Best regards, Carson

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? I’m feeling guilty over how little I spend each week on food for Pogo. Uro123?? said he spends $10 (roughly) a week on food and Carson’s 3 boxes!! I spend $0.88 a week on a head of escarole or curly endive and they usually last over a week. Well, I guess Pogo’s a cheap date.

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? PG, No need to feel that way, what I failed to elaborate on is that is for three uromastyx and two bearded dragons. I too purchase endive and escarole, but because Kroger is the only place to find arugula, well, they kinda have a corner on the market....so to speak ;-)Best regards, Carson

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? Waverunner, I could not find them in the grocery stores here in Florida either, of course there is not many stores left here and most do not have Fresh anything due to lack of power....Just a Hurricane joke...If I don’t laugh I would probably cry.Seriously, try a farmers market that has fresh veggies. I go to the fruit stand that is like a farmers market and they were the only one carrying the Dandilion Greens. Joan A.

Anyone in the Southeastern U.S. know where to find Dandilion Greens?? I only spend around $10 dollars because I always buy 2 or 3 different types of greens at a time one week I’ll use endive, arugula, and turnip greens, and the next week I’ll use escarole, bok choy and alfalfa, and then I also factored in Iguana pelets that I always have available, bee pollen that I have found, mixed veggies, cacti, squash, or whatever else I get for that week. Not all of it goes to the uro though we also eat some of the greens in our salads or it would go bad before I could use it all. I also could not find dandelion greens when I moved, we have them all over down here but our yard has been sprayed.
