So I went to the vet today and...
is missing tip but is healed, however it was like that when I got him. Although he is a captive bred, he was housed with other Uros before I got him, so who knows if it was a fight or accident or what have you. He recomended soaking the toe to see if it is just past shed that is stubborn, however he said he isn’t convinced that’s what it is. It coul also possibly be an infection, or even a result of when he lost his other. Anyway, he said to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or doesn’t get better to check back in a few weeks for possible treatment. Other than that he said he was very healthy and very alert, eyes and everything look great. Under physical examination it has: 1.) General appearance: Normal 2.) Respiratory: Normal 3.) Ears: Normal 4.) Integumentary: Normal 5.) Digestive: Normal 6.) Neural Systems: Normal 7.) Musculo-skeltal: Abnormal - due to the digits 8.) Genitourinary: Normal 9.) Lymph Nodes: Not examined 10.) Circulatory: Not examined 11.) Eyes: Normal 12.) Mucous Membranes: Normal So that about sums it up all and all this doctor was great he owns two of his own Uros. I am pleased that he is doing well and will do a follow-up later. All behaviors are normal still eating pooping and running around. No weird behavior :). Just wanted to update you guys on what was going on since the last. I am glad I got this done and I appreciate everyone’s wonderful advice. I’ll post pictures as he gets bigger, but he’s still pretty tiny. Any and all other recommendations are welcomed. Oh one last thing, he also said he pretty certain that it is a male, which is good, because I have been calling him a boy haha. |
