 Uro shaking his head

hey everyone, well i’m new to the site and wanted to know if anyone has a uro who shakes its head when he eats or drinks anything. He’s seems fine. he is always running around his cage and will sit on top of his hide. i have finch bird seed for him to eat, everything i feed him is chopped up nice and small? its almost like he is choking but hes not. i don’t know if i should be worried or if this is just his quirk?

 Uro shaking his head

How long has your uromastyx been doing this?

Head shaking can be a sign of a respiratory issue but usually at this stage, the animal is not eating or drinking. Head shaking during eating could be something as simple as the uromastyx not having leverage to tear the piece of green it is eating into smaller pieces. We really need more information regarding what the animal is actually doing and the history on the animal to try to help guide you in the proper direction.

If you fill out the ’read before posting’ questions, it might be a little easier for people to help you. I am traveling and may not be on the forum much but I am sure others will jump in to help if you take the time to fill out the questions.
