Poisonous or not? i bought a geranium and an impatients but when i got home i realized that the geranium was not a scented one and everything i have seen says that only the scented ones are ok to eat. the impatients is a new guinea and i havent seen anything that says it is ok. i also have seen an organic soil mix and was wondering if it would be ok to use this for the plants i want to grow for Mali.

Poisonous or not? Pelargonium; Carolina cranesbill; Geranium carolinianeum
Those are the edible types as far as I can find on the internet. I think I’m going to compile a list of edible plants and flowers or something. I got a nice list from my veterinarian of local varieties in the southwest but a nice general list might be cool.

Poisonous or not? They seem to be edible as well but I would be very wary of whatever source you get them from. They might have pesticides or chemicals on them etc.

Poisonous or not? miracle grow is just a fertilizer, they’re usually okay unless they have some kind of weed stopper or something else included in the mix. What I’m concerned about is not what is in the soil but what is on the actual plant and flower itself. Sometimes pesticides or other chemicals are sprayed on the plants topically to discourage pests.

Poisonous or not? I don’t anything about impatients or geraniums, but I know mine ABOSOLUTELY LOVE PANSIES! I am growing my own pansies, nastursiums and some veggies for the babies. Definately check with Doublemom, she is a Master Gardner and can tell you exactly what to grow and what dirt to use. I am using Organic dirt and I don’t use any fertilizer or pesticides at all.

Poisonous or not? I have to second that about Pansies...they usually come in an "edible flower" mix I get from the grocery store (fresh spices area).
What mine seems to really DISLIKE are Snapdragons....
