Apparently my uros think its spring already

I still have the lights down to about 10 hrs and the basking spots are not back up to my usual 120-130 range but all my uros don’t care. Both mali’s are out about
6 hrs and all 3 geyri are out over 8hrs a day and have doubled the amount of food they were eating in the last 2 weeks. I guess spring came early this year heh. Anyone else noticed a big increase in activity lately?

yes. several weeks ago.
They mustn’t read at the same weather reports as I.
I can’t see the skyline through the falling white stuff.

Hmm. Same thing here - increased activity in the last month or so - and I’m halfway round the world from you guys. How odd. Maybe they’re all telepathically linked and it’s Time To Take Over The World.

Ya, my mali is all over the place and is back to eating her whole plate of food. My morrocan on the other hand is still sleeping away.

Mine never brumated, but the female does take a day off now and then. Mine are actually slowing down. I talked to a breeder and he said that even though his Uros are in the basement and never see the sun they somehow know the seasons and day time cycles.

Mine will return at about 3 pm even if I leave the light on. Fascinating creatures.

And here! Simon now gets up about 8am but still heads off to sleep at about 2! Still eating same amounts.... As rose said, must be time for Uros to take over the world. Haha.

Wow I noticed some strange behavior yesterday as well. My Mali’s have been housed together now for 2 years. Never once have I heard a hiss, saw a tail whip, wiggle, etc. Last night literally the very second the lights went off, they both went for the same sleeping spot. The male hissed and the female tried to whack him with her tail. This went on for maybe 10 seconds and then they both went for different sleeping spots for the night... very odd. I wonder if possibly they are at the age to finally mate and are becoming a little territorial of 1 particular place to sleep in? I have not seen this at all ever before, and lights go out right after I eat dinner so I always see/hear them when they go to sleep.
