Quick question about shedding My uro’s spines on his tail are pretty long and curved compared to other uro’s and when he sheds all the skin gets stuck because his spines have a hook shaped curve. When should I aid him in taking it off, give him a week after the rest of his skin falls off?

Quick question about shedding I hear you can aid it by putting vasoline on it. I think you were saying to pull it off? That isn’t good for the animal

Quick question about shedding I don’t pull it off, it’s not attached, the base of the scale sheath can be removed completely but the hook shaped spines hold the skin since you can’t rub it off, you know, it’s a hook shape... I know not to just pull skin off of an animal...

Quick question about shedding Hmmm I would think if it is actually not attached then it should be ok. Maybe try putting some drift wood in there and it may help him get it off when he rubs against it? You can get it for free along rivers and creeks. But be sure to boil it to kill all bugs and such so they don’t effect you lizardand also avoid the jagged and sharp prices of it so he doesn’t hurt himself
