Slightly OT Hatchling snakes-ATTENTION JIM BOW CLOCK!
Seen a decent amount of house snake owners on this part of the forum, so I figured I would post these here. Just came home to my first clutch of house snake eggs pipping. So far 3/6 have emerged, 2 more have pipped. The remaining egg has been dented for awhile, but still looks viable, so I’m not sure what is up with that. These babies are alot smaller then the corns I have hatched in the past.
As you can see, one of the eggs is obviously gone bad.

And a few close ups. I had another female throw a clutch of 8 earlier this eek, which I wasn’t expecting at all.
And another female dropped a clutch of 6 last night. House snakes are a JOY to keep, eat great, relatively attractive, and VERY prolific. The mother to this clutch is about to leave her pre-lay shed and drop another clutch. -Dan |
