 Taylor’s Cantil info

Presently own a pair of copperheads as well as an eyelash viper.
I have an opportunity to purchase one of these beautiful snakes and am looking for some info or a care sheets. What size set up is recommended, heat, humidity, etc.
Thanks for any and all advice!

these snakes are certainly an attractive species. the care requirements are similar to southern copperheads but this species is a bit different. they are generally far more ill tempered and the venom is far more dangerous than either of the species you currently keep. not only is the venom far more serious but it cannot be treated with crofab so thats just something to think about. it may be a good idea before you pick the snake up to do a little research on where your nearest source for antivenin is. good luck, if everything goes well this should be a pretty rewarding species to keep. post some pics if or when you have the snake all set up.

I have a source of anti-vemon. I have signed onto a yearly program with one of the Suppliers in my area here in Ontario, Canada.

If you are going to do an aquarium then a 55 gal long would be a good set-up.
