becuase A D D would set in and would HAVE to pick it up are any of u guys tempted?

I’m the same way ...for years I told my self i would not get in to venomous. Mostly b/c I like to hold all my snakes. Well a few months ago I ended up with two copperheads and a Kentucky rattle snake. i’d figure id start off with something local so if i do get bit its no big deal. But i’m still very careful and don’t hold them.

Please rethink this. ANY rattler bite is a big deal. Antivenin does not always work for everyone.
Look up some of the disfiguring bite results from rattlers. I know what you meant but just think about it please. That kind of complacency is a trip to the ER looking for someone to pay for it.

Agreed. Not everyone dies, but tissue damage will occur. I like my appendages, I need them for various things (lol). Hence, I only own a heloderm, who’s venom does not cause tissue damage or act as an anti coagulate.
