Species to Impress

Hi All,

Like many of you, I love snakes. I know, most people think we’re a bit weird. People say to me "Why not a dog or a hampster or even a gerbil." But those pets don’t do it for me. Something about the evil silence of a snake has always been appealing to me. And over the years I’ve had a number of different species: cornsnakes, ratsnakes, kings, and even boas. In fact, I used to take my boa to the NJ shore and walk with it along the boardwalk. Boy, did that snake get me noticed. I never got so many looks from the ladies with that thing. But I’ve never owned a poisonous species - that’s why I’m writing on this forum.

I’m looking for a poisonous snake that I can take with me to the boardwalk. If people think it’s cool to see a boa wrapped around my neck, just imagine what they’ll think about a hissing, spitting viper. I need some advice, however. What would be the ideal species to get? I’m looking for something that says "hey, watch out for us. Me and my owner are bad- and we’ll spit in your eye and snap at you; but we also like girls." The snake should also be obedient and listen to my commands, because I enjoy riding the roller coasters on the boardwalk I’ll have to leave him alone sometimes. He must be capable of listening.

Please let me know what species would fit my needs.
