Vermiculite 
Have you guys ever heard about using this for the substrate in the lay box? I believe my vet said to use this since Ida likes to eat the substrate. I cant remember and the vet is in a meeting. Just wanted to check with you guys to see if you know if its safe or not. thanks

Yes that is what I have always used it makes a bit of a mess when they dig but it is perfectly safe to use

Ida keeps eating some of it every time she gets into the box. It don’t look like much but i know she is eating it because i can see some in her poo. I take it since the vet knows Ida likes to eat anything in her lay box that she knows she will eat Vermiculite. Do you think it will be OK unless i see she is not having normal poos? I am kind of running out of options because she eats everything. This seems to be the best thing to pass through her system. Thanks for anymore info. Just dont wont to hurt her with anything.

it should be ok as long as she doesnt eat a lot of it just keep an eye on her my female use to lick it all the time so I guess she must have digested some but never had any prob
