Here’s some pic I said I would post for you.......

Here’s the top of the humidifier with the little lid on it

Remove the lid thing

and then just put your PVC pipe in the hole and the mist will pump up to the top....

Here what the mist looks like

Gosh I hope this helps........

Yepper’s thats is one nice round hole ....I think the manufacturers caught on and decided to thwart our efforts by changing the design...

Daing it ...well the search continues....

TY Pocochu i really needed that .

I can sleep better now. Glad I didn’t buy the oval hole unit that would’ve been some real work.

I’ll know what to look for now.

I have a Holmes ultrasonic humidifier in one viv, and a Reli-On ultrasonic humidifier in the other viv. I like the Reli-On one better because of the way it was built. All of the humidifiers change models constantly - Holmes is a good brand. As Pocochu mentioned to me tonight, Reli-On is changing models shortly - and who knows how well it will adapt to our needs.

I do not use pvc pipe on mine. I took my humidifier into Home Depot and fitted a flexible hose to it. The humidifiers are in a cabinet under the vivs, and the hose goes up into the vivs in the back.

Use an ultrasonic one to avoid contamination of bacteria or mold. Clean it out every six months. Use distilled water; otherwise mineral deposits will build up and shorten the life span of your device.

I’m going to LOVE this humidifier! I went to the hardware store and got a tube to take the mist up to the top of the viv and it’s pouring out...very cool! Thanks again Pocochu! Now I just need to find a time to have it come on several times a day. This is so exciting. Yeah, little things like this make me happy....and hopefully Gomez too.

I can not find one anywhere that has a hole in it, they all only have a long slit and weird shape hole. I have went through so many different ones. And when I did finally find an ultrasonic one it died after a week

LOL...I could just see ....news at 11

Local woman goes Postal over faulty humidifier!

Stressed out from keeping so many animals at one time, and burdened futher by volunteering to baby sit a friends animals, A local resident finally snapped when the humidifiers she had purchased recently failed to perform properly.

Witnesses at the local Wal Mart say they saw a demure and attractive "normal looking" woman explode into a frenzy when her warranty on a humidifier would not be honored.

Okay, the big clue here is to use distilled water in them. I have had mine for several years now. (Who is guilt of not using distilled water . . . Annie?) Roflolol!
