ive actually heard of that! dont know what causes it or why they do it, but maybe something lacking in their diet. or they dont think they get the right amount of minerals the first time around. hope you figure it out...

That’s a new one on me ....maybe you should get some gold fish for the water for it to eat. Or a deeper / bigger water dish with a rock or three to perch on ...

Just a thought

My dragon has done that a few times...in my case the water has a filter in it so it’s always circulating...well after going poo sometimes the turd would kinda float around the tank before the fish or the filter got it, and I’ve seen her ’attack’ it as if it were food, but as soon as she realizes what it is she always spits it out.

I think she’s pretty much learned now and has stopped doing it that I know of.

Well, the only times I have seen my WDs doing this is because they thought it was food floating on their water.

Now something interesting (I saw at Aninam Planet), that MAY also apply to the WDs. In the wild, when baby iggys find an adult, they start following it around, so they can eat their poops. This is because not all the food is absorbed by the guts, so they have pre-digested food, and in an easy way to be absorbed, right behind an adult iggy.
