 OT: I truly dislike crickets!

So while I wait for my awesome roaches to breed enough to feed off them, I had to buy stinky crickets. While I was getting the cricket tank ready I put the box of crickets in my room, well the crickets broke out...1,000 of them! I didn’t open the box, it was still taped up just how it was shipped. The crazy things made them a hole in the box...just a little round hole. I went in to get the crickets and there was only about 10 in the box, so I start looking around and ended up finding around 600 of the stinking crickets. THEY ARE SUCH A PAIN! LoL!

lol sounds like the same exact story....im breedin roaches n bout some n they chewed a hole in a critter keeper....yes 1000 of them lol n wuz pickin them up for no lie an hour and a half haha....such a PAIN but never again

It’s like 10pm here now and the crazy things got out at like 9am and we’re still pickin’ up the stinky things...lol...I think we’ll be picking up crickets for the rest of my life...hahaha

This is just toooo much ....lol, I can’t stand it when one is loose in the house chirping away.... My wife is the one who get’s on my rearend when they escape ....but I only buy 25 at a time ....and keep them outside in a tall tupperware for flour....I guess you need one of those large storage tubs....wow

LoL...I know...I wish I could just order 25 at a time...hehehe..But with all my guys, 5 CWD’s, 8 Beardies, 3 anoles, 3 long tails, 2 tree frogs, 2 Veiled chameleons and 1 fat tail gecko - 1,000 really won’t hold them all for long. Crickets really tick me off...they are forever more getting out some how or another...lol.I’m keeping them in a 55 gallon tank right now..they are driving me crazy

Pocochu, I know it was soooo funny....you should have seen us runnin’ them jokers down...lol..as far as the cats...well we have all the lizards plus the frogs, then 2 dogs and 1 ball python...oh yeah 3 Oscars that we took in when we were at a pet store and this lady wanted to leave them at the store cause they had gotten too big, (over 10 inches long a piece) and she had a jack dem. (Cichlid) with them that really beat the Oscars up pretty bad, any way the pet store wouldn’t take them so she was just going to throw them out in the parking lot. So I don’t think cats would be happy here..the dogs stay in the house. We use to have cats...I miss them, but I fear my dogs wouldn’t be nice plus Simon my Cocker Spaniel loves bugs we just don’t want him eating these ones...their for the lizards...maybe we should put the dogs out and let the lizards run all over the house..lol..that could be fun! Wow this has gotten long..Sorry

i keep mine in a 10 gallon in my closet, when i put them in there they don’t make as much noise for some reason. they usually just stop chirping, got lucky lol

Oh crap, chasing after crickets is really hard.

One time a cat got into the room that I keep the crickets in... He knocked over the large rubbermaid container that I had the crickets in and well me and my niece were in there picking them up as fast as we could. It really sucked.

I use to keep mine in the closet too, but I started put them in a 55gal. so now keep them in my room...they kept jumping out of the 10gal.

Oh yes! It suck hard....lol..I still have the stinkie things walking around my house. They love my closet, I guess because I have my roaches and eggs in there so it’s really warm.
