 Wierd eye thing and no eating

My water dragon would not eat his mouse. Everytime I put it in front of him he would only close the eye facing the mouse and the other eye was open.....freaky....any thoughts????????(sm mouse f/t) He has eaten them before...........I’m worried...please help!!! Thanks in advance!!!

He’ may just not be in the mood and for the eye thing totally normal it’s like if I don’t see it it ain’t there,soo with the one eye shut ihe cant see it lol they are crazy at times mineis going through a pinkie hunger struck too right now but it’s OK won’t harm them one bit hope that helps have a great day!!!!

mine has been doing that lately when I try to feed him silkies...I think that might be a normal reaction.

Often times it is a sign of refusal ...as with mine I try to hard to feed daily. When feeding a pinky/ fuzzy I will stop feeding for a day to build an appetite and reduce the pickiness. After 2 days he, for sure goes after the mouse which pleases me greatly... as it doesn’t go to waste ...they don’t live long away from the momma at so young an age.

I actually had one fall into the water and drown ...but I got it while relatively fresh and made my dragon eat it ...lol...it was a fuzzy and he did’nt like the hair I think....closed his eye and jerked his head away.

Mine always closes one eye when I try to give it earthworms or crickets and actually touch his mouth with it. With earthworms I can slip them between his jaws and slide em back until he starts chewing like a piece of spahgetti.

What fun I have trying to trick him into eating a crippled cricket ...lol... If I could only make it the same color as a super I would have it made. Usually I make the first offering something he does’nt take easily cause that’s when he is hungriest...after he eats his meat then he gets desert ....lol

He eats better if I don’t feed him every day
