 OT: Reptile and Exotic Show in NC!

Hey guys, it’s been awhile yet again. xD I really need to stop disappearing all the time.

Anyways I went to my first reptile and exotic show last weekend in NC. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!
I had never got the chance to go to one until I met a wonderful man that could take me. He’s the love of my life.

We got there around 10 am to get tickets and I was so excited. I had never been in a place like that before with sooooo many precious’s. I was like a little kid at disney land. I took a lot of pictures at the first exhibit I saw lol... It was a whole bunch of chameleons and I just fell in love. I held one of them.
I bet people thought I was a wacko because I referred to all herps as "precious’s" all the time.
Later on as we were walking around my boyfriend had to get the camera away from me because I was going to take all the pictures at the first couple places we stopped too. xD

I was just so excited I couldn’t help it. Lizards and snakes and frogs everywhere! I was in heaven.
I tried to hold back and get some self-control because I knew that I couldn’t get another herp now so I disciplined myself not to get all disappointed when I seen other people carrying around reptiles they purchased, knowing I couldn’t.

I still had an amazing time though. A lot of the lizards were in these lil plastic containers and I’d pick them up and say hello.
There were so many in there that a lot of them I had only seen on tv or the computer, never in physical form.
I walked over to this tank that held 2 rhino iguanas and I knew what they were because I had seen them on the computer before. And well I was like "Hey Allen check out these iggys!" And this lady that was standing right beside me goes "...Oh those are monitors." I just looked at her with my mouth agape lol. I then turned to the man behind the booth and asked "Can you tell me what these are sir?" And he said "Rhino Iguanas." I was like HAH! I knew it! xD

It was kinda funny, I don’t know if the lady heard me or not. I didn’t care I was having too much fun.

When Allen and I stopped by this display of lizards there were some baby Frilled Dragons. And they all looked so proud! One of them even displayed his frill like this:---> And he opened his mouth.
We just thought it was the cutest thing ever! Allen wanted that Frilly really bad, but we couldn’t get him.

I got to hold lots of precious’s and I really loved all the monitors they had. I got to hold some baby savy monitors.

Oh yeah, and there was this other setup of chameleons and on top of it were 2 adult mellers. They were so big, and gorgeous. I wanted to hold one but they guy told me he’d scratch me up and he showed me his arms. xD
I got to hold a uro, 2 baby ball pythons, some Bearded Dragons, chameleon, baby savy monitors, and it was just really fun!
I got to see some brown Basilisks, not any Green though. They had a bunch of baby Bearded Dragons and Water Dragons though.
The thing I didn’t like was the centipedes and milipedes... I fear those more than a spider! When I look at them I want to throw up... And no offence to those of you that like centipedes and milipedes. They just scare me to death.
I would have to look at them for some reason. And I was bending over this rubbermaid looking container trying to look at a milipede and I didn’t notice some were in the one closest to me. I jumped back when I noticed lol. They had this net thing over it though.

While I was there I got some supplies and a Habba Mist! We have it hooked onto Emeralds tank to give him a quick mist every now and then and he loves it!
I also got 2 light bulbs, cricket water, and LOTS of worms!
250 count Wax Worms, 2 cups of 25 count Super Worms, 2 cups of 100 count Pheonix Worms, 1 cup of 100 count King Meal Worms.
I decided to take that opportunity because its hard for me to get my hands on some worms unless I order online.
And I got a toy stuffed lizard that feels like it weighs 10 pounds with all the bead thingies in it. xD Allen really wanted me to get one for a souvenir type thing. xD

He was so gracious and paid for everything, he never lets me pay for nothing.
They had some cages on display for a good price and some of them were very interesting. I wish I could get those "multi unit" reptile tanks because it wouldn’t take up as much room... Even then I still wouldn’t have room for that now anyways.
They also had lots of merchandise and it was very neat!

Anyways this is soon becoming a novel and all the people who’ve been to expos 10 times will think I’m crazy for being so excited lol.
I’m hoping I can go back on August 30th, same place! And maybe I can get a Frilly or a Crested Gecko!
