They survived atomic bombs didn’t they? LOL.....They are very easy to keep alive as long as they have humidity and food :)

LOL, and I am the funny one? lol....I love my roach colonies, I would rather have roaches crawling around than crickets, any day. I will admit, first when I got them I was a little freaked by the size and all, but they are ok, and I love the fact that they don’t smell or churp! lol...And the Discoids are so pretty when they are little, lol...I must admit though, my Dubias are breeding so much faster than the discoids...

i forgot about my roaches for 4 months. i had a few older adults die off (about 5) and the nymphs and everything were really really thin. they survived just fine .

give them a heat pad. give them water crystals and give them cricket food (or damp bearded dragon pellet food) and volla.....

they take 3-4 months to mature. and 1 month to produce young. to fully establish a colony out of a small batch of roaches your looking at 5-8 months. but you will be greatly rewarded!

they are really soft bodied and are small enough to feed to young dragons and big enough to feed to large dragons. i feed 2 roaches intead of 6 crickets!!!

They are super easy to keep alive ....

90 degrees, via a UTH wrapped in a towel to get the right temps... a bit of moisture ....and lots of left over veggies ..and some dry cat food ground up...feed as often as you like daily or every other day... yo u will know when the food is gone...mist the tub every so often and / or use water crystals ...as you can see in the photo I have a soda pop bottle with holes drilled to provide humidity ....but the veggies and misting provide moisture too.

I use egg carton just as you would for crickets and pine substrate so they can burrow/ breed in....however substrate seems to be an optional item...some folks use none at all...

They are amazing lil creatures...and like others have said ...no stink ...no chirping ...LOL
