 How many dragons??

Hey I was wondering if anyone here has more than 3 water dragons and if so, how large is your enclosure?

My cage is 6ft tall 3f deep and 5ft wide.

How many more females can live in it? I already have 1 male 2 females.

my advice would be to stay with what you have...also you need to build a seperate viv for your male. if he stays with your females all the time, he will stimulate them to lay eggs constantly and deprive their bodies. remember, females get to be 2 ft and males get to be 3 ft. you will prob be needing a bigger viv for the 2 females soon anyways.

I have 6 cwd’s and 1 awd - three vivs. I find that I can keep 1 male and 2 females together. With the size of your viv, I guess you could add another female, providing that you have adequate basking spots and hides. You always have to watch to make sure one is not being bullied and/or stressed out.

Keeping a single male and female together will stimulate the female to over reproduce, as Birdfever indicated. Keeping multiple females with the male will keep that in check.

well yeah all 3 get along well and have done for years. one female is 4 years old, the other female is 3 years old, and the male is 6 years old.

I have two hatchlings right now that I want to keep since they are my first! (They are all females because I incubated the eggs at 90 degrees) I was wondering if when they are mature, they could move in with the others.

I might make my viv 3ft wider to make it 8ft wide by 6ft high.

You def would NOT want to put the daughters with the dad!!! Unless you want to freeze the resulting eggs, but with that many dragons it is hard to tell from whom the eggs came.
