 Need help now, please

ugh we just finished moving into our new place...our new neighbors started moving in on sunday or monday. our landlord went up to check on them and make sure they were doing ok, and he said the upstairs place is infested with smarty pants roaches...these disgusting people (not just cuz of the roaches) brought these bugs with them...and now the land lord is wanting to bomb the entire house. he called rob and i to see what he could use that wouldnt hurt my animals. were going to talk to him tomorrow and try to convince him to just bomb upstairs. we havent seen any roaches. but i really dont have anyone to take all my animals for the day. is there anything "green" thats safe to use. im afraid of the fumes, and im afraid of the acid seaping into the wood of my cages. the price doesnt matter, hes making these people pay to get it treated. im so freaked out. something needs to be done tomorrow. anyone have any suggestions? please, im desperate for help.

those chemicals will most likely cause problems with your reptiles. any pets. those store bought "bombs" are really icky.. i recommend you tell him to have a personal come in and spray properly because you are concerns for your own health and the health of your pets. you have a right to say no to chemicals being sprayed in y our living area and near it. i would hope.

i wouldnt trust a bug bomb =X

it wouldn’t do any good for the landlord to bomb the upstairs and not the downstairs because the roaches will flee to your place. i would suggest you go to a hotel overnight and wrap your enclosures tightly with plastic.

Sorry to say, Jerri is entirely correct. Just bombing upstairs, or spraying, or whatever will just drive the roaches down to your place. Sigh, but you are gonna have to take your animals out for the day, seal up their vivs, and let them treat your place as well. :(

ugh i kind of figured it would come to that. we told our landlord today that if i have to get the animals out for the day, the people who brought the roaches in were paying for our hotel room as well as the bug stuff. they have done nothing but inconvience us. and our landlord is majorly regretting them moving in. hes ready to toss them now and they have only been here since tuesday. lol

they only moved in on tuesday? and there is a roach infestation? are you sure your roaches didn’t get out?

you should charge the landlord the cost. better yet, deduct it from the rent because the other tenant is their responsibility not yours. he’s the one that allowed them to move in, not you.

well when he first told rob about it, he said it was infested. now his story has changed. we havent seen any.

but the neighbors were drunk and fighting last night. so they got kicked out today. they couldnt come up with the rest of the rent and deposit, they got arrested last night, and none of us in the house want them here.

i still have all my roaches. did a count last night. 64 adults and 200+ babies. ick lol

actually the neighborhood is nice. its just the neighbors that moved in upstairs are trying to bring the "streets" to this calm quiet little community. but they signed a release fourm and are moving out tomorrow. yay!

haha gotta rememeber, they havent even been here a week yet. we dont want it to go further. i used to hang out on the streets back in my party days, and i really dont want those kind of people in this neighborhood.

but i am older than the kid that went to jail. we got to see his ID. sad

and he supposedly threw a glass plate at his girlfriends little baby (lucky he missed, rob would have murdered him) and CPS got called. but they are supposed to be moving out today. hope it all goes as planned.

I miss the streets ...I miss the good times of the party days... but they ended and we grew up ...or at least we tried....LOL

Now we shun the new generation and we lock our doors to the wild rebellious hooligans ...

haha yea i miss my party days to. but i know my life would be horrible now if i had contuined down that path. i lost all of the kids i called "friends" because i quit the partying and quit pitching in money for the parties. but i got tired of it all and decided it was time to grow up. glad i did!

and at 19 years old, i can look at all these little kids (8-12) and wonder why they do the things they do and what their lives will be like.

although as a "drug free hippie" i would have loved the 60’s. haha
