 Water dragons - egg hatching

Hi
An Eastern Water Dragon laid her eggs in my garden in November last year. I watched her and there were about 15 - 20 eggs. On Friday, three babies hatched and tunnelled out. I’m wondering if the eggs still there will hatch. Do they usually hatch all together or over a short period of time??

Any helpful answers would be appreciated.

Thx
Sue

oh how neat! You are so lucky to be living some place where you can watch them in their own habitat...especially in your own back yard! :) I’m jealous!

I can’t say for sure, but I would think that they would all hatch out within a couple days of each other, but I’m not sure how things would go in the wild. Maybe someone else with better expierence with hatching babies could tell you.

Thanks for that. Yes, I am lucky. The babies were adorable and a couple of them climbed the front door and hung around there for a time before heading down to the creek. It has been much cooler since they hatched, but expected to be hot again tomorrow, so I’ll watch the nest closely.

They stuck around for a day or two but then took off for the creek. They were very, very cute. No more hatched and we have had some really hot days.

That is SO very cool.
