 Superworms

i was reading through the superworm forum and i was seeing where they were saying to chop off the heads before feeding them to a gecko cuz they will eat the stomach after ingestion however i havent been doing that for iggy so should i be concerned about this and should i chop off there heads before feeding them to him?

Superworms are Kratus’ favorite, he loves em! Unfortunately they will munch on your lizard from the inside or out so I always smash their heads before feeding. I’ve heard its OK if they chew them up real good, but I do it just to be safe!

throughout the years this myth has come up quite often. its not true. once something hits the stomach acid, its pretty much a goner.

for a healthy reptile consuming superworms shouldn’t be a problem if allowed to be eaten 1 at a time & chewed up thouroghly.....

but the reality is that probably at least 70% of captive reptiles are dealing with compromised health issues due to improper/poor husbandry & care & I would take the precautions of decapatating supeworms if being fed to a sickly dragon

or better yet, start a blaptica dubia roach colony

What about micro-supers? I have dubias and my CWD is eating those great, looking for a variety of feeders. He won’t touch crickets. Don’t blame him there at all (if you read my surprise post)...

ty in advance
