 Additional Dragons???

Hi everyone!

I have an opportunity to get 2-25" dragons. they are both in great health and are beautiful. However, I only have a 55 gallon tank, plus my current dragon, Meatball.

I am building a vew Viv soon, so just for now, do you all think that 55 gallons would be enough for 3 dragons ranging from 20-25" just for temporary accomodations?

Do you all think that it would be too overwhelming for Meatball to get 2 new friends?

Thanks for your help.

i personally think its too small, if its temp. id suggest getting the reptariums the screen enclosures to put the two in and keep meatball separate, i had enough trouble trying to get spike to get along with aries, took me about 5 weeks to be able to put them together w/o it stressing them both out, but id bet that if you put two new ones in the same cage right away it wouldn’t be good....how big is meatball? and do you know what sex they are yet?

You probably shouldnt house them together right away anyway, because the new ones could have parasites and transfer it to the other dragon.

Chrisman,

Thank you for your comments. I decided to just get one of the bigger dragons. I found out that they are both 12" from snout to VENT. So they’re big. I decided to take the female and buy a reptarium for her. Once she and Meatball are used to eachother, I’ll put meatball in the reptarium with her. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get some too.

Meatball is about 20" right now, but he is steadily growing. There is a size difference, so the 2 seperate vivs will be good.

Thanks for your help!

Shanna and Meatball.
