You are looking for CWD breeders? To be honest, I belong to several forums and read info on many sites and I’ve never come across a list of CWD breeders besides Michael Spears at Sapphire Dragon Ranch. (And he is currently out of inventory). The classifieds at Kingsnake.com and redtailboa.com offer some CWD for sale on occassion-usually WC specimens.

As mentioned previously, I really don’t read of a lot of CWD breeders. Reedsdragons.com used to have Chinese and frilled but I understand he has stopped breeding. The Sapphire Dragon Ranch is the only advertised, reputable captive bred site that I have seen. The classifieds on kingsnake.com will yield some WC specimens-usually in Las Vegas. I did a web search for "Chinese Water Dragons for sale" when I located the pair that I bought last July. Good luck, I just don’t see a lot of Chinese out there for sale-even in pet stores.

How are the "Scandanavian" dragons doing? Just a note on your breeders post. Your first 2 on the list offer wild caught (llreptile tells you when a species is CB and doesn’t if it’s WC) and if I were a betting person, I’d say zoologicalimports2000.com also offers WC specimens, although they don’t mention it specifically, except to say they offer some captive bred reptiles. $10.00 is just too cheap for a CB hatchling. About the only way to get a captive bred is to either know of someone who breeds them and get on a waiting list or maybe check with your local pet store to see if they ever get any CB clutches from area people and ask them to call you if they get some in. Frankly, if the WC are hatchlings and someone doesn’t mind a vet check up, they can end up just as healthy as a CB, but I hate that it just encourages them to go out and catch a zillion more to offer for sale. Post some pics of your dragons. It’s been months and they had to have grown! Any eggs, yet?
Maybe you can offer some hatchlings soon. I don’t think mine are EVER going to breed!

OOPS. I thought they were all CB. Anyway, The dragons are doing fine,but Kveldulv is losing weight. He is now refusing crickets so we tried Super Worms and he ate all 50 within 2 days. So, we are waiting on a bulk order to come in. We don’t have any eggs yet. Kveldulv keeps trying to mate with Zelenka,but she just throws him off. Zelenka has gotten fat though. All she does is eat. I know she isn’t carrying eggs. Their appetite normally decreases,they dig,and you can feel the eggs. She hasn’t done anything.

Mine are eating primarily superworms right now also. I didn’t get crix for a week and this morning they ate them like they hadn’t eaten in a month. Crazy dragons. Drago is still off her food, although she did eat 5 crix this am. I am syringe feeding her chicken babyfood to get her weight up to where it should be. Hope the next time you post you’ll have some "egg" news!
