 Making Viv Look Better....Any Ideas???

i am trying to decided wot to do with jollops viv becouse to be honest atm its perthetic and boring!! the crickets hide behind his water and his pump neva works properly but im afaird i neva new much about them when i got him and was told i need a tree and water bowl...but now i want more!!! okay i was thinking bout putting in sum sort of waterfall into the pool to make it splash more by putting a pipe from the top of the pump do run down a water fall, any ideas what i could use for a water fall and how i could put it in? i also need it so he crickets cant get behind the water bowl..any ideas on that? and i just want it to look better!! so any ideas would be gr8. i am going to do it in my 6 week brake from collage and take him out and put him out for the day so that i can do it. i also think i need a betta floor becouse its bark and again the crickets hide under it!! (danm crickets!) another thing is how can i stop the paint coming off the back wall (as you can see he is ripping it off) and make the wood more water proof. thanx guys anyway heres a pic ov my viv...help would be gr8 as atm its got 2 b the worst viv eva!!! xx saf xx

i just thought of a idea too run past u lot, if i wer to put a back groud, like the onces you put on fish tanks, so that it lines all the insides of the walls..would this scare him? becouse it would solve the paint coming off and it would look less wooden...so wot do u think?? thanx xx saf xx

That might make it look better! But i was think since you have one branch going right verticle make and another one going left verticle coming from the other side and going all the way up! And you have so much space still up high, that you could make a really neat basking spot for him right under the lights! just an idea..

thats a really nice looking viv!! u got 3 dragons in there or more?? they look gorgouse!! i like rope idea bet they enjoy climbing that!!! im thinking bout putting in a shelf bout half the width of my viv and bout half way up to make the hole of the floor into the pool...but dunno yet.. thanx for that =) xx saf xx

Get some lucky bamboo. They grow fast and tall. When they get too tall you can just chop the tops off and put those in water and they will form new plants. My lizards seem to love them.

You might try geting some fake vines from your local pet store. Down here Wet Pets has a 6 foot vine setup with suction cups to stick the wall for like $10. They look nice and it gives them something to climb on. WDM

hey, yeah im gonna get a load ov stuff like that. i live in UK and i think there bout £7 ish so its not bad. Its getting done on saterday i think :) im having the hole of the bottom with a pool with some logs in it and a water fall, im then going to have a shelf above the water bout half the width ov my viv with the flooring and have branches on there with vines and fake leave things hagin into the water to he can climb up onto the self :) xx saf xx

just remember whne you are building the water area ... make it as easy to clean as possible ... i have a fish tank with a wooden top built over top, so it is some work cleanin it ... I have to think of somethin that make make it a little easier.

yea its gonna b made out of plastic so i can take it out about once a month and giv it a good clean, i can take the frount doors off my viv so thatll make it easyer to get out. atm i clean jollops water out once a week by taking all the water out and cleaning the pump but i leave the pool in. and that only needs a good clean once a month thank you xx saf xx

they are just fake ones I don’t use real and I just shopped around and got them for as cheap as a pound don’t know where u are from but it was places like more store and pound shops they are great as you can also cut them up if you need to thats what I done for my frogs tank
