 Bilding a new viv

i am going to need to build a new viv for my two australian water dragons and i have a few questions.
what should i use to build my new viv out of? it has to be able to not rot.
when should i build this new viv? i currently have my two dragons in a 40 breeder, and there about 6.5 inches head to vent and ones 9 inches head to tail but the other dosnt have a full tail only like 1/4 of it.
and what type of live plants can i put in this viv, like what kind of small trees and vines ect.

thank you

(under husbands name to get photos)I don’t know if there is a difference in care between CWD and Aussies, but here is a set up my husband built. It is built out of Aluminum screen and PVC pipe. He decorated it with a fake tree and vines and a bunch of live plants like ferns. Hope this helps.

yea i am going to use the plans that were posted on another post, but i dont know if i should make it all out of mesh, because it would be diffucult to keep up the heat and humidity. so what other materieles can i use and about when should i build it?

Here is my viv.... It is built out of 3/4 inch particile board with melame on it (Like formica). It is very easy to clean. The pond is lined with plexiglas and the seams are sealed with silicone real heavy so no water leakage. Silicone throuh out the whole inside. The underwater filter/pump is a fluval 60GPH for up to 12 gallons. The UVB ligh is inside on the top. You need to splice the cord and have a hole out the back top and put cord together with electrical tape. The other lights on top are counter sank for apperance and sturdyness. Then we vented each end with two 5x10 inch household vents with screen between them to keep in the crickets. Glass door tracks are made with 1/2 aluminum channel. (hubby put electrical tape on bottom of glass doors for easy sliding. also veggie oil in track.) I am going to put in a bigger filter to clean less this weekend. Found a better one at another pet store. These pics are 4 months old... and I still love the VIV !!!!

By the way.... Start building, they are going to grow fast and it does not hurt to have a bigger viv. Also they are big enough for a larger place... Hope all this helps you?? !!!

yea ive seen your viv before and i really like it, but i dont really want to make it out of wood, because of the mold factor, and of the cost, so i was thinking of making it out of mesh, and just drape a few towels on a few sides to keep in the heat and humidity.
so you are saying that i should start building my new viv now? it would only take a few days, and my dragons are about maybe 10 inches long, more or less, im not sure right now. but one of them (nomad)

dosn’t have much of a tail, but my other one (zander) has a almost full tail.
