Hi guys. By "licking" I take it you mean touching an object with their tongue? Usually this behavour is a taste test .. you dragon is seeing if he can eat whatever it is he’s licking. I also believe that it’s a recognition thing. My Beardeddragon will always lick his favorite log when he goes back into his tank, he also licks my partner and myself, Killer does too. Don’t be allarmed, he probably just showing effection to his favorite branch lol. TD.x.

true and neither did u, but you maniged to make a post. i think that maybe your dragons is cold feeling when you pick him/her up is maybe because they wernt basking or hadnt basked at all that day, or maybe your habds were cold so the dragon got cold in your hand. my aussies always feel warm when i pick them up so im really not sure on whats goin on here so my advice is most likely wrong, but no one anwsered that part of the post so i thought i would give it a shot.

Saf He may always feel chilly because he feel he doesn’t need to bask. The viv temp should average at 84. You’re running your tank a bit warm mate, drop the temp (sounds silly considering he’s cold right? lol) Drop the temp and you WD should start to regulate his body temp correctly. Sometimes Killer is warm and sometimes Killer is cold, but he has a choice of hide depending on his temp, he has one in the warm end and one in the cool end <--- he always sleeps here then comes out and warms up in the morning. Hope this helps Saf, and sorry for not answering your question sooner. TD.x.
